It has been a very good show. There has been a good mix of people coming through. It is slightly different when you change venue; you pick up new people and you don’t see old people. I think InstallerLive had been at Coventry for four or five years but moving it back to the NEC makes it easier to get to, people can get here on the trains, and it’s much more accessible.
John Smith, National Service Manager, Vokera
I work on the domestic side of the business and we do a lot of exhibitions each year, approximately 14. There has been a really good spread of customers and prospective new business, from the college students to the enthusiasts, it has generally been a very good mix. We have picked up some very good leads and I do think it is an exhibition that we will do again. This show has been very good for us.
Susan Day, National Sales Manager, Spirotech UK Ltd
This is our first year at Installer Live and it has been very interesting, especially offering our five year warranty. We will be exhibiting next year as we have had a good experience and have been very busy. It has been very good and we have found that we are able to target the people we want to, in our market, and that is the main thing.
Paul Lomas, Area Sales Manager for London, Baxi Potterton
We are here at the show as part of the Eco Challenge. We have 20 hubs and six of them have been working during the show, giving installers the opportunity to actually have a go at the technologies and find out what it’s all about. The show itself has created a very good profile for the NSA. We had the launch this morning with Charlie Brown, Sustainability Manager at IKEA providing great, high profile input. We have also seen plenty of installers coming and finding out what the correct training is going to be for the future.
Rob Wellman, Development Manager, National Skills Academy for Environmental Technologies
This is our fourth year in a row. This year has been different because of the change of venue, but we’ve met people who are still really interested in the product, so very positive. Absolutely still feeling the benefits from doing this show and we definitely plan to be here next year.
Paul Marshall, Marketing Director, Loctite
This is the first time we have done this particular event. It is a really nice show and in a good location.
James Young, Stand Manager, Renault
We have been very pleased with the quality of customers we have seen. The Sunday was busy and on Monday we saw a better quality of visitor and had some serious enquiries.
Kevin Carling, Managing Director, Secon Solar
We were very pleasantly surprised with how busy Sunday was and we have been busy ever since. We would definitely do the show again.
Kevin Silk, Key Account Manger, Ridgid Tools
We have made some great contacts and done a lot of business. The stand is very impressive and the footfall has been great. As we are local to the area, it is the perfect location for us and we have already booked for next year.
Adrian Allen, Commercial Director, and Darren O’Connell, Key Accounts Manager, Apprenticeship Training Limited (ATL)
The attendance has been really good from our perspective as it has allowed us to showcase our products and raise awareness for the brand. Absolutely superb. We’ve already signed up to next year, we always enjoy this show and it attracts the right demographic of people.
David Lomas, Field Sales Manager, Milwaukee Power Tools
Brilliant show. This is the fourth day and we have had three brilliant days so far and I do not doubt this day will be another. Indeed, I already paid for the show this morning with a customer. We have had a really good show, next year we want to sponsor it. This is our first year, we just heard about this at the last minute, got a stand and now we are here and we are very, very pleased. We will definitely come again.
Brain Harper, CEO, Solar Energy Centre
It’s been a really good show for us, good venue, all the facilities are here, so very good. The show is great publicity for our products, which is our basic strategy. Yes, I think we will be back next year.
Mario Hendrix, Marketing, Intergas
We have been participating in Installer Live since 2005. The show here at the NEC is extremely strong, especially in these challenging times. The seminar stations are working extremely well, the space only is good and it is fitting to have shell schemes here so smaller companies can interact with the engineers and have the opportunity to engage.
Mike Windsor, Sales Director, Anton Group
Our solar demonstrations have been packed out. I think it is good that there is a fixed section now in what is traditionally a heating and plumbing show. We’ve got three products from three different manufacturers that are members of NFRC, covering photovoltaic, solar thermal, and also the mounting system, which is really just educating people that they need a roofer to do the roofing work. It is a definitely an education process. We have also had a number of companies interested in joining the Federation as well, so beneficial all round hopefully. We have already signed up for our space next year.
Debbie Simcock, Head of External Affairs, National Federation of Roofing Contractors
